Survey Scout - $25 Restaurant Voucher June 29th, 2005 @ 5:37 pm

The $25 Restaurant Voucher survey was the first instant survey provided to me by Survey Scout (Go to: Survey Scout). This paid survey was created for the sole purpose of stressing certain points about the survey service and making sure I was aware of how the process worked. It consisted of short paragraghs about different topics and then it asked one question about those particular paragraghs.

It was quick and easy. The suggested time was 20 minutes, but I was finished in 11 minutes (with 1 short email break included). Immediately upon completion I was given a coupon code and the url to go download my $25 restaurant voucher. I easily found a restaurant of my choice and printed the $25 voucher. I plan on using it soon and I will let you know if there are any problems there. (BTW: the voucher is valid for one year)

Survey Scout Registration June 29th, 2005 @ 6:16 am

Ok, here are the details of my registration at Survey Scout (Go to: Survey Scout). First, their normal registration fee was posted to be $69.95 for “unlimited access” to the membership site. When I visited the site, they were offering the first 500 people to sign up today 50% off the normal price. I liked the sound of that and there were only 4 slots left, so I joined immediately. Let me note, there was also an image stating that I would get a instant $25.00 survey just for joining. Honestly, considering I am still waiting for a real survey from my free-to-join paid survey service Survey Club (Go to: Survey Club), I thought this looked pretty good.

The registration fee turn out to be only $34.95 after the discount. FYI: I revisited the site shortly after registering and the discount was no longer available and the registration fee was now full price. I think I remember seeing this site before and that same special was running. I have a hunch that they run the special everyday for the first 500 visitors. I will check back tomorrow to see if that is the case. If it is, you will know to join for the special price or wait until the next day.

We will see…

The “Welcome” email came promptly and as usual just stated my username and email. It had the usual “welcome to the service” flavor to it; however, there was one hitch!

…look on the Extras page for the $25 Restaurant Voucher Survey. Complete the survey and you’ll receive a $25 voucher good at your choice of over 4,600 restaurants in major cities across the US

$25 Restaurant Voucher?!?! I thought this was cash! I guess that it never really specified cash and I just assumed, so that could be an error on my part. I just need to be aware that some awards may be gift certificates or prizes.

Overall, I like the feel of the pay-to-join over the free-to-join paid survey services. They have not yet tried to send me to other sites and they do claim to have a $25.00 voucher waiting on me. It is way too early to make any judgements, so I am just going to do my first survey and get the voucher.

Be back in a bit…

First “Pay” Paid Survey Service! June 28th, 2005 @ 6:27 pm

Ok, I decided not to be partial to only free-to-join paid online survey services, so I joined my first pay-to-join paid survey service today (Fingers crossed that I didn’t through money out the window!). I registered today with Survey Scout (Go to: Survey Scout). It did hit me in the wallet, but I got what appears to be a good deal and special promotional pricing.

I will post the details of registration in a another post.
